Photo from the FAC Outdoor Champs

Here is a photo that was sent in to us.  This is Jim Gerszewski with his P-30 that won the P-30 event we had at the FAC Outdoor Champs.  As you likely know, P-30 is not an FAC event, but we host the AMA event when we fly at the AMA Flying Site.

Jim is from Wisconsin and we see him at the large FAC events we host in Muncie and he is always a top competitor in OT Stick and OT Fuse.  Well done, Jim!

Blue Max Ceremony!

At the Flying Aces Outdoor Champs in Muncie two weeks ago, we awarded TWO Blue Max medals to well-deserving FACers.

The first mentioned was Chuck Hickson, from the Cloudbusters.  Chuck is a dedicated flyer and through his persistence, he has gained his 16 kanones by beating some of the biggest names on the list – it has taken him awhile, but he has done it!

The second recognized was Duke Horn from Texas.  Duke has been a long-standing member and has an active online presence.  We are glad to have Duke travel up to Muncie each fall.

The awards ceremony was not without its hiccups.  Evidently, I forgot to bring medals AND I forgot to check the list prior to leaving.  During the summer, I knew that we would award Duke in September, but it slipped my mind and he had to remind me.  Such shame upon me.  Chuck was awarded my medal and Duke was mailed a medal just after I got home.

For those of you interested, here is how I can call up individual performances (or maybe you are interested in what they fly to win):
